It was a mixed reaction. Some thought he had changed too much. I think he looks more regal, he has a more sombre colour with some gold leaf designs that apparently were a part of the original statue. I think he looks marvelous.
The controversy continues, today I heard someone complaining that they completely changed the statues colour and they need to repaint him. There is always someone who is going to be unhappy😂
