You are enough. Your writing is enough. You are allowed to take a break.... ponder... think.... regroup. That is what artists/writers have to do. Thanks for sharing! Whenever you want to share, share! Do not feel pressured. We like it whenever you post. We welcome your posts. Make it a surprise and a delight too have it one day in our mailboxes. Cheers to you and hope you feel better soon.
Thank you so much Jenny. Your words and reassurance were exactly what I needed to hear. I’m always beating myself up for not doing enough writing, but honestly I do plenty eventhough I don’t always share it here on Substack. I feel as if I should be working on my next book but whenever I think about I just become overwhelmed. I’m hoping to eventually find a sustainable writing routine or rhythm which will help me to write a little every day and this way slowly work towards my writing goals. Here’s hoping the New Year will help me regain some balance. I really appreciate your comment and I’m happy to have you reading along. Happiest of holidays to you.
You’ve got a good mix here Rochelle. Some parts read like a confessional and I don’t mean it to be a criticism. The more public comments, about the parents night at school make an interesting comparison/contrast with the way these events are conducted in Australia.
Thanks Antonio, I thought I’d try to keep things more interesting and change the structure. I like the idea of blending three different topics together, since I seem to come up with ideas or concepts in three sections. I want this newsletter to be personal, true and share a little bit about my life. After all it is about what’s currently on my mind. So I’ll happily take ‘confessional’ as a compliment. Hopefully I’ll be able to fit in a few more posts over the festive season. Buone feste anche a te. Grazie di tutto.
